  The project TroCCiBras (Tropical Convection and Cirrus Brasil) was created by IPMet to coordinate the two European Union projects TROCCINOX and HIBISCUS with the needs of Brazilian research groups during a joint field campaign in 2004, as well as to regulate the exchange of these unique data on the Brazilian atmosphere, residing in the three separate Data Bases, between the participating researchers. The purpose of this paper is to present some selected recent results, especially in the field of radar meteorology and lightning research, while, at the same time, drawing attention to already published material
